My troubles love it and I feel comfortable leaving them

We tried a few kennels before settling on Greenacres and have been happy ever since. One major benefit is that the walls are solid for the vast majority, if not all, the large kennel. This is especially important as one of our collies is very nervous and at a previous kennel she came home aggressive. This has never happened with Greenacres. We have even left them for a 2-week holiday and they still had tails going crazy next time we turned up. Couldn't recommend highly enough especially if your dogs are a bit high maintenance like our two crazy collies.

Outstanding!

We have been sending our dogs to John and Jackie's brilliant kennels for a couple of years and we would not go anywhere else. Our dogs love going there and always come back happy and settled. The kennels are always spotless and the doggy residents always seem relaxed and stress-free - no anxious barking and worried faces here. On our most recent visit one of our dogs had recently had an operation and Jackie nursed her beautifully, bathing the wound, administering antibiotics and even dressing her in her baby grow! The dogs get walked three times a day on long leads which is such a bonus. I cannot recommend this kennel highly enough - and my dogs would agree.

First class

From the first meeting it is very obvious that John and Jackie are totally committed to looking after our dogs. I have boarded all my dogs at these amazing kennels over a very long period and never been disappointed. We boarded our latest pair, just 5 months old for 2 weeks and once again their stay was absolutely amazing. Both pups returned home, tales wagging, better behaved than when they arrived at Greenacres! No better boarding kennels in the area.

Friendly service and dogs are walked

This is the best kennel we have ever used. Our Golden Retriever and Black Labrador enjoy going there because they are walked several times a day and the individual kennels are very long and spacious. Also, John and Jackie provide an excellent friendly service showing their great experience in boarding dogs.

First class boarding kennels

At 4 years old our Springer Spaniel Elsa had always come away with us, so it was really important that we chose the right place for her to stay while we were away. We viewed 8 boarding kennels and then found Greenacres, which by far stood out among the rest. 
The kennels themselves are painted, very spacious with long runs and heat (when required,) extremely clean and not overcrowded. A radio is left on for the dogs which is a plus for us, making it home from home for Elsa. They are walked on extension leads 3 times a day in a very large well-kept field within the grounds. 
We visited the kennels on 3 occasions (once for an overnight trial for Elsa before we went away) and noticed how content all of the dogs were every time; there was no barking or jumping around and definitely no signs of distress at all. We also noticed how devoted John and Jackie are to every part of their business, including all of the dogs in their care. 
Elsa settled really well which was a great weight off of our minds and this could be seen from the video that John sent us while we were away. We found Greenacres to be a first class boarding kennels, which provided the best possible care for Elsa and gave us peace of mind. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

Superb Kennels

We used Greenacres Kennels Ltd for our yellow Labrador who is now eleven. I was a bit worried about leaving him, due to his age but he came home with a spring in his step. There was no reason to worry as he was taken great care of. He was walked with dogs at his pace and came home in great condition. Both John and his wife are lovely people and take great care in the dog's welfare. We could not have been any happier with the care our dog received and have already booked him in for when we go away again. The kennels are spacious and have lovely views.

Excellent boarding kennels

John and Jackie have welcomed our dog Zak to Greenacres several times now. We are delighted with they way they look after him whilst in their care. John and Jackie are always polite, kind and courteous when we drop off or collect Zak and are genuine dog lovers who are attentive to the needs of all the dogs in their care. We would definitely recommend Greenacres to others.

5* Boarding Kennels

Jackie and John provide an outstanding canine boarding facility at Greenacres. 

We have used these kennels for many years and have always been delighted with the care our dogs receive there. One of our two dogs was quite elderly and John would send us regular texts to alleviate any anxieties we may have had whilst on holiday. These texts were always so reassuring and we were very grateful for his kindness.

The kennels are beautifully appointed in the midst of lush gardens and grounds where there is ample space to exercise dogs. This compares very favourably to other kennels we have visited in the past.

We are also most impressed with Jackie and John's diligence regarding feeding, bedding and cleanliness. The dogs' well-being and comfort is paramount here. We highly recommend Greenacres. Anne & Iain

Happy Jack

After our previous kennel owners retired we spent a couple of months researching local kennels and came across Jackie and John at Greenacres. We were immediately impressed with the whole set up and both Jackie and John's enthusiasm and care for all of the dogs. The set up at the kennels is superb with large spaces for the dogs to board in and lots of space for them to run around. 
We recently got stuck abroad whilst on holiday and one quick call to John ensured that we no longer had to worry about our little Jack. Each time we drop him off he goes without any hesitation and doesn't look back and when we return he is always as happy as when we left him.
It is easy to tell that Jackie and John are truly dedicated to all of the dogs and their wellbeing and both myself and my wife would recommend Greenacres to anyone looking to board their dog. A big thank you to both Jackie and John.

Wouldn't leave our dog anywhere else!

I can highly recommend Greenacres and wouldn't dream of leaving our dog anywhere else when we go away. She is so well cared for, walked regularly and is calm and contented when she comes home. John and Jackie seem to know the dogs so well and take a real interest in each one. Definitely a 5 star kennels!

We have been using Greenacres for our springer spaniel for the last 6 years and wouldn't leave him anywhere else. He is always happy to be left there, which says a lot.
Jackie and John are great with the dogs and it is lovely to find somewhere so clean and tidy and that takes them for 3 walks a day, especially when you have an active dog like ours. Thank you.

Home from home

Finally we don't have to worry when we see the suitcases come out. We know we are off on our holidays too. We are really well looked after. We share a double kennel and get excellent service. Excellent accommodation, good food, good company, enjoyable regular exercise and routines that make us feel safe. The staff are really friendly and will take care of any of our moments when we might remember the folks at home and we need a fuss. Don't just take our word for it. Our humans really rate Greenacres Boarding Kennels and would highly recommend them.

Never looks back!

We have been taking Ginty to Greenacres for a number of years now. She jumps out of the car and almost pulls to get to the kennels! Regular walks throughout the day are an added attraction. John and Jackie have seen her through illness and now a touch of senility. I would thoroughly recommend the kennels to anyone.

Greenacres review
This is a great kennel for anybody wishing their dog(s) to stay. The kennels are large enough for dogs up to mastiff size and bigger, they are walked three times a day and are fed twice a day with their food or yours should you wish to take it. My Mastiff and Jack Russell cross share a kennel when they stay. 

In my opinion, and I feel qualified enough to say this as a Chartered Vet Physiotherapist myself, the husband and wife that run Greenacres have excellent handling skills and automatically use a positive reinforcement approach. This is an absolute plus for any dog. 

I have a particularly challenging mastiff that is quite sensitive and requires firm but fair handling with somebody that has a good understanding of dog behaviour. This is exactly what I got at Greenacres and I can say it has changed our lives! We feel confident when going away that our beloved pooches will be well looked after. 

Greenacres also add the ultimate personal touches and will text you with how your loved ones are doing should you wish to know and I must say the dogs are always pleased to see them! 

Another important observation to me is that the kennels are also always so quiet when you walk down to them, this is a testament to Greenacres and how happy and settled the dogs are that stay there. It was also insisted upon when I was due to come that my dogs stayed a few single days first to help them get to grips with the routine before leaving them for longer, a suggestion which I feel really has the dog's best interests at heart. 

It is clear that John and Jackie love dogs and are so committed to their welfare in this business. I would happily recommend them to anyone I come across.

Home from home for our two

I switched to Greenacres from another kennels that was very good (and slightly closer to home) because the other one seemed to be exorbitantly expensive - I think Greenacres by contrast is very well priced. I would NOT have made my decision on that alone, however! I was very impressed with how clean the place is, how hot Jackie and John are with vaccination certificates etc., the lovely, immaculately-kept field at the back where they are allowed out on long leads, and the fact that the kennels always seem quite quiet (even if full) because the dogs all seem very happy and relaxed. My two, whilst always very excited to see me come back, are normally pulling their way down to the kennels when I drop them off. If there are any issues with a dog whilst you are away (I have had one - totally unrelated to the kennels) they are very quick to call or contact to let you know and to discuss if necessary. I will have to use these kennels quite frequently going forward, and will have no hesitation in continuing to do so, or in recommending them to others. Thanks!

Fantastic boarding kennel for our nervous puppy

The first thing you notice is that the kennels are quiet, no stressed out dogs barking all the time. This was the first time in kennels for our nervous springer puppy. We visited three other kennels and were put off by the noise and some kennels which did not walk the dogs and did not seem very clean. Our dog stayed for two weeks and came home much more confident and walking so much better to heel. So great kennels, run by a friendly, dog savvy husband and wife and some dog training thrown in for free!. He will be spending all his 'holidays' there and we will enjoy ours knowing he is being well looked after.

The very best

Our dogs have been staying at Greenacres since they first opened and we would never dream of going elsewhere. John and Jackie are hard-working, trustworthy, friendly and provide a superb professional and caring service. The kennels are immaculate and maintained meticulously; the dogs are happy and well cared for and exercised regularly on a daily basis. Our current Labrador bounds in to his kennel each time, as if it were his second home, and he adores all the family there. We would have no doubt whatsoever in recommending Greenacres, in fact we often do - which sadly means it is always busy - so book early!!

A+++ Fantastic - wouldn't go anywhere else

We have now used these kennels on several occasions for our 2 year old German Shepherd and are very happy with the service provided. Previously, we used another local kennels, however our dog came home very anxious making us suspect he either wasn't walked or was not walked for very long. When we collect our dog from Greenacres he is his usual happy/bouncy self, meaning we can go on holiday safe in the knowledge that he is being well cared for.
We highly recommend these kennels and wouldn't take our dog anywhere else.

A happy dog!

I have been taking my 7 year old keeshond to Greenacres for around 2 years now. It is a wonderful sign when he gets excited as we pull in the drive! He simply can't wait to see Jackie and stay at his "hotel". I always feel that he is in good hands with John and Jackie, and do not worry about him while I am away on holiday. I highly recommend Green Acres to anyone looking for a place to board their dog. The kennels are clean and the dogs are well taken care of. And of course, he is happy when he leaves with me!

We simply would not go anywhere else

Our dogs have been staying at Greenacres for about 14 years - pretty much ever since they opened. The service that they provide to the dogs (and the peace of mind to the dog owner) is excellent and the advice they have given us demonstrates their knowledge and professionalism. No better kennels anywhere

John and Jackie are so trustworthy and professional. They take such care to get everything right for the dogs in their care. They make it possible for me to leave Max in their capable hands knowing that the care they give him will be the very best. Max is a Bull Mastiff and not everyone understands the needs of large breeds but they do! Max loves them and is very happy to stay at Greenacres. I would recommend them to anyone.

The very best kennels for large breeds

Max who is a Bull Mastiff with quite a unique character loves going to stay with John and Jackie. They understand the needs of large breeds and are able to give him the time and care he needs to be happy. I feel so confident when i leave Max in their care. They are professional, understanding and very reassuring. I would recommend them especially to any owners of large breeds. Max is always happy to go and always well looked on my return. Loving people!!!

You will not find a better kennels anywhere! From the moment you first meet John and Jackie you know your dogs are in safe hands. They are complete experts in the dog world and your furry friends will have the most lovely holiday while you enjoy yours!! I cannot recommend them enough. Fantastic kennels

We placed our 2 year old dog, Boxy, with Greenacres for 3 weeks in April 2011, having had a "trial" for 1 night in February. We went to view other kennels before we saw this one and were starting to get worried about whether we would find somewhere that we liked! When we viewed this one we couldn't believe how spotlessly clean and spacious these were. What a lovely surprise!! 

The owners were very friendly and gave us great confidence that they would take good care of our dog. When we collected him he looked as healthy and happy as the day we dropped him off.
We would highly recommend Greenacres to all.

Fantastic kennels

I have been using Jackie and John for over 5 years now and been delighted with their care and service at Greenacres. I have two dogs 13 years and 2 years old. Hudson came to them as a puppy and he feels very happy with them. I have peace of mind when we go away as I know they keep a special eye on Walter my 'old boy' dog! The dogs are exercised which is important to me as my two get regular walks twice a day.

Outstanding kennels, very loving

I would like to express how wonderful Jackie & John are at Greenacres, and how they take all the worry out of kennelling my two babies!! Having two very silly Staffordshire Bull Terriers, most kennels are reluctant to have them to stay but, Jackie & John are very happy to take them and treat them as if they are their own. I cannot commend Greenacres enough and thoroughly recommend them as a 'second temporary home' to anyone considering kennels.

I reviewed all our local kennels before getting our puppy and thought Greenacres was the best. Our dog now nearly 3 years has gone regularly. She is always pleased to arrive there and is always in excellent condition when we collect her. The owners take the care to get to know your dog and treat them with affection. They are extremely careful to ensure all dogs are vaccinated. I would recommend these kennels to anyone. It is always hard leaving your dog in kennels but here you have no worries.

Absolutely Fantastic!

I have been using Greenacres kennels for 5 years. I am completely confident and I always feel at ease leaving the dogs here because I know they are well looked after by the fabulous staff who really care about what they do.
The kennels are large, clean and spacious and the dogs get lots of exercise. My dogs are always very happy at the kennels - they have their holiday while I have mine!

Only 2nd to being at home

Simply the best around to be able to not worry about your dogs whilst you are away - you know that they are being well cared for and exercised - otherwise our Alsatian would be very highly strung on our return. We have put both our dogs in together sharing a large kennel for over 10 stays and our Jack Russell seems to really enjoy the experience! Family run and owners care for the welfare of the dogs - one holiday our Alsatian unexpectedly came into season and become very stressed and was taken to our own vet saving further expense. This extra level of care was very much appreciated.

Simply the best!

Our vet sent her dog to this kennels so we went for a visit and were very impressed with the love and care given to the inmates - 3 walks a day = dog heaven! The owners clearly love their furry guests and never worry about any doggy needs such as a favourite toy or blanket, or perhaps medication or a special diet. The buildings are always spotless and you never hear the dogs barking until someone approaches their kennel - as the owners say "A busy dog is a happy dog". The proof of our dogs' enjoyment is that Lucy, who will never ever travel in a car positively hurtles to the car if we say the magic word 'Kennels!'. That's proper peace of mind for any dog owner.
